Who we are

CarCinema at carcinema.app and the Telegram bot @carcinemappbot are run by VIRALITY sp. z o.o., ul. Borowa 1C, 35-232 Rzeszów, Poland, entered in the Polish National Court Register (KRS) under number 0001096055, NIP 5170446022, REGON 528157879, share capital PLN 5,000 ("we", "us").

CarCinema is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tesla, YouTube, Google or Telegram. Their names are used only to describe what the service works with.

What CarCinema is

CarCinema is a video player for the browser built into Tesla cars. You send us a link to a YouTube video, we fetch that video, convert it into a format the car browser can play, and keep it in your personal library. You then open carcinema.app on the car screen, sign in with a QR code and watch it.

What the service does and does not do today:

• Accepted links are youtube.com/watch, youtube.com/shorts and youtu.be links.
• One video can be up to 4 hours long. A library holds up to 50 videos.
• Video is delivered at 854×480. It is made for a car screen, not for a cinema.
• Live streams, premieres, YouTube Movies titles, and videos that are private, members-only, age-restricted or blocked in the region we fetch from cannot be added. Trying costs nothing.
• Older Tesla browsers (MCU1) can show the library but may play video without sound.

The service depends on YouTube and on Tesla’s browser, which we do not control. If either changes in a way that stops videos from being added or played, we will try to restore the service, but we cannot promise that we will always be able to.

Your account

You sign in either with your Telegram account, through our bot, or with an email address on carcinema.app. A car is linked to your account by scanning a QR code on the car screen with your phone.

You must be at least 16 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for using online services without a parent’s consent.

Anyone who can use a car or phone that is signed in can use your library and your hours. Sign out on shared devices, and do not share your account publicly.

The videos you add

You choose which videos are added to your library, and you are responsible for that choice. Only add videos you are allowed to watch, for your own private, non-commercial viewing. Your library is private: no one else can browse it.

To save storage and time, we keep a single copy of each video on our servers. When another person adds the same link, they get their own library entry that points to that copy. A copy is deleted once no library refers to it any more.

If you hold rights in a video and believe it should not be available through CarCinema, contact us through the /support command in @carcinemappbot on Telegram, or a letter to VIRALITY sp. z o.o., ul. Borowa 1C, 35-232 Rzeszów, Poland, naming the video. We will remove it from our servers.

Hours and prices

Adding video costs hours. Watching never does: whatever is in your library can be replayed as often as you like, at no cost.

• A video uses as many hours as it is long, counted when it has reached your library. A 45-minute video uses 0.75 hours.
• Failed downloads, duplicates of a video already in your library, cancelled downloads and refused links cost nothing.
• Adding a video that another user has already added still uses hours, even though it arrives faster.
• If we cannot read a video’s length, we estimate it from the file size, and if that is not possible either, we count 15 minutes.
• Your balance can go slightly below zero when the last video was longer than what was left. The difference is taken from your next purchase.
• Hours you buy do not expire.

Every new account comes with a short test clip, so you can check that video plays in your car before you buy anything. The packs are:

• 5 hours of new video: 150 Telegram Stars, or US$3.99 by card (before any tax that applies where you live)
• 15 hours of new video: 350 Telegram Stars, or US$7.99 by card (before any tax that applies where you live)
• 40 hours of new video: 800 Telegram Stars, or US$16.99 by card (before any tax that applies where you live)

Telegram Stars are bought from Telegram and spent inside our bot. Their use is also subject to Telegram’s own terms.

Card payments on carcinema.app are processed by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for those orders. Paddle provides customer service for payment questions and handles returns of card payments according to Paddle’s Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy. Paddle shows the final price in your currency, including any tax, before you pay.

If you invite someone with your personal link from the bot and they buy hours for the first time, you both receive 30 extra minutes. An inviter receives this at most 5 times in any 30 days.

We may change prices and packs for future purchases. Hours you have already bought keep their value.

Refunds

Hours are digital content delivered at the moment you pay. Our Refund Policy explains when a purchase can be refunded.

Safety

Video is for when the car is parked or charging, or for passengers. Watching video while you are driving is dangerous and in most countries illegal. You are responsible for using CarCinema in a way that is safe and lawful where you drive.

Fair use

Do not use CarCinema to run automated or bulk downloads, to get around the limits described in these terms, to resell access, to attack or overload the service, or to break the law. We may suspend an account that does, and will tell you why through the bot or by email.

Availability and changes to the service

We run CarCinema with care but cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. Videos that have not been played for a while may be moved out of fast storage; playing or re-adding them brings them back at no cost.

If we decide to close CarCinema, we will tell users through the bot and on this website at least 30 days in advance.

Ending your use

You can stop using CarCinema at any time. To have your account and its data deleted, ask through the /support command in @carcinemappbot on Telegram, or a letter to VIRALITY sp. z o.o., ul. Borowa 1C, 35-232 Rzeszów, Poland. Our Privacy Policy explains what is deleted and what we must keep.

Liability

We are responsible for providing the service as described in these terms. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live, or our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, and our total liability to a business customer is limited to the amount it paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. We will announce material changes on this page and in the bot before they take effect. The date at the top shows the current version.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.
